Current Early Bird Pricing for CCCX MTB: Middle School $45 / U18 - $55 / Adult $80
We are pleased to announce that CCCX MTB and NorCal Crusher Cup races will be sanctioned by USA Cycling in 2025.
As the governing body of cycling in America, USAC works hard to develop the sport from juniors to Olympians. This partnership will strengthen Northern California cycling and create a more direct pathway from our region to national events. These USAC races provide an opportunity to earn national ranking points and qualify for national championship races, which is especially important for our juniors.
This move will also align our races with the Northern California Nevada Cycling Association. The NCNCA has long been active in promoting road racing in our region; now they will work with us to include XC racing and sanction a 2025 District Championship XC race.
The insurance coverage provided by USAC is a significant benefit to all licensed racers. Not only does it bolster our event coverage, it also provides each racer with personal supplemental insurance while racing.
Athletes will be required to provide a valid USAC license number.
About 30% of our participants already carry an annual license. We were able to get a deep discount for first-time annual licenses.
USAC Pricing (subject to change):
Basic Annual Renewal - $129
First-time annual license - $50 (use Code INTROMEMB25)
U18 license - $40
Day license: Adult - Novice $15 / U18 $15 / Adult $35
The first CCCX was held at Ford Ord in 1998. Since then, CCCX has produced MTB, CX, Road and Enduro races every year (excluding COVID). CCCX has become a staple of Monterey County cycling.
The CCCX MTB Race Series is a series of 4 races. Riders can race each venue as a standalone event or race the entire series.
Series scoring will be based on the best 3 race results for each rider in the series. Points will be based on finish position. Riders participating in the series cannot change categories after the first race in the series.
CHANGE: THERE IS NO ONSITE REGISTRATION FOR THE CCCX 2024 MTB RACE SERIES, SO PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER ONLINE BEFORE THE DEADLINE. THIS IS DUE TO RFID TIMING.
Fort Ord is legendary for its ultra-fast trails. This is where you will lay down some serious speed without running into a lot of technical features. Average speeds can exceed 18 MPH for top finishers depending on the course. On that note - Fort Ord features nearly limitless course variation. The CCCX Race Series will take advantage of trails and features that are not often used to give riders a unique experience. We don't mind putting the extra work into course design!
Please park inside venue and not on the street.
The CCCX 2024 MTB Series will take place at the Fort Ord Day Camp adjacent to the East Garrison community. We ask that all participants respect the neighborhood by following the speed limit, keeping noise down and not parking on the streets.
