Riders! My name is Lars Thomsen and I own Trail Head Cyclery, an All-Mountain shop located in Cupertino and on-line at www.trailheadcyclery.com. We are stoked to support the CCCX Series again this year, and provide a 50% discount on our demo bikes for the skills clinics! I’ve coached countless riders myself and often find that riders are often on bikes with a handlebar that is further from their pedals than ideal. Today’s bikes are way longer than ever, so much so that today's Medium is about the same length (reach) as some X-Larges from just a few years ago! This can lead to the rider being too stretched out on their bike which makes handling features and sketchy moments way more challenging or even dangerous. I suggest contacting us at the shop prior to choosing a bike given how many variables there are in a proper fit. We do this sort of thing every day and our crew is really good at looking up the geometry of your current bike and comparing that to the bikes in our demo fleet. When you are ready to schedule a demo bike with Trail Head, these are the steps on how to book your sweet ride;
1. Visit our on-line booking page or in person at the shop to reserve a bike no later than Wednesday, January 15th. (We need time to set these up in advance!)
2. Use your coupon code for 50% off. CCCX+SKILLS
3. Riders in the 9:30 am class will need to select pick-up on or before Friday the 17th with return scheduled for Sunday the 19th unless you feel that you can return the bike before 5:30 on Saturday the 18th.
4. Riders in the 1:30 pm class could select pick-up on Saturday the 18th with return on Sunday the 19th. The shop opens at 9:30 on Saturdays.
5. We will set up the bike for you and have it ready to be picked up as needed with suspension tuned and pedals installed.
6. Riders will need an approved transportation method. (Hitch Tray, Tailgate Pad, Roof Rack (excludes e-bikes) or inside car or van (bikes cannot be stacked).More details can be found on the booking page and by chatting it up with us! We are stoked you are leveling up with our friend Jessica Tseng, she is amazing! Ride Hard, Take Chances… Lars
