Head-to-head team racing lands at the 2026 3CX Series. Juniors and Adult/Mixed teams go wheel-to-wheel on the 3CX full-gas, fast and flowy course—chip-timed results, team awards, and a roaring pit row. Bring the tent, fly your colors, and race for bragging rights the Bay Area's longest-running XC venue.
Team Competition Summary:
Vibe: fast and flowy. Teams, family, and big-crowd energy.
Please follow the instructions below if participating in the team competition:
It's fairly simple - the first rider to register on your team will enter the team name. Each subsequent rider will use the drop-down menu to select the team. It's critical that the team names match exactly.
Individual riders: There will be a drop-down selection for "none," please choose it at registration.
Team Divisions:
Juniors: Team composed of any combination of riders in High School, Middle School or Grade School at the time of the race.
Adults/Mixed: Team composed of any combination of rider ages.
Points and Scoring: For each division, the top 5 scores will count towards the team total. The top 3 teams will receive podium ceremony and awards (TBD)
Open Category: A maximum of 2 open category riders can score towards the team competition
Team Points: The table to the left shows the points awarded for each finish position and category.
Women/Girls: We considered bonus points for women and girls like NICA, but decided that even with a great turn out there is an inherent advantage to more women on a team due to small fields.

Juniors 13-14
Novice Men/Women: Juniors 15-16, Juniors 17-18, 19-34, 35-49, 50+
Sport Men/Women: Juniors 15-16, Juniors 17-18, 19-34, 35-49, 50+
Expert Men/Women: Juniors 15-16, Juniors 17-18, 19-34, 35-49, 50+
Open/Pro: Men; Women
Laps and distances will be announced closer to race day.
